Service Technician - ELV

The Service Technician – ELV (Extra Low Voltage) will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, intercoms, and structured cabling across residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the UAE. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic systems, a proactive approach to service delivery, and adherence to UAE safety and regulatory standards. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure seamless system functionality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and testing ELV systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire detection, public address, and access control.

• Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis to ensure continued reliability and compliance with UAE Civil Defense and other regulatory standards.

• Responding to service calls and performing timely repairs or replacements of faulty components or wiring.

• Coordinating with project engineers and site supervisors to ensure installation meets design specifications and client requirements.

• Preparing service reports, checklists, and documentation for project handover and compliance verification.

• Ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are handled safely and work areas remain clean and hazard-free.

• Adhering to health and safety practices and reporting any risks or incidents in line with UAE labor laws and safety protocols.

• Staying updated on the latest technologies and manufacturer guidelines to maintain proficiency in ELV system servicing.

Requirements:

• Diploma or ITI certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ELV system installation and maintenance, preferably in the UAE.

• Strong technical knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and structured cabling.

• Familiarity with UAE Civil Defense regulations and local standards for ELV system implementation.

• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and project teams.

• Valid UAE driving license is preferred for on-site travel.

• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus.
