Senior Procurement Engineer(Construction)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Engineer with expertise in construction projects to oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management, contract negotiation, and supply chain optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and risk factors to optimize procurement processes.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contract requirements, and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and documentation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and project deadlines.
• Work closely with logistics teams to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of materials.
• Conduct regular vendor audits and performance evaluations to maintain a reliable supplier base.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, contracts, and supply chain management.
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.
