Senior Engineer - Structural

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Structural to join our team. As the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design and construction of structural projects to ensure they meet safety, quality, and budget standards. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in delivering high-quality and innovative structural solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of engineers and designers in the design and development of structural projects, from conceptual phase to completion

- Conduct structural analysis and design, using the latest software and technology, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any structural design issues and ensure timely project delivery

- Oversee the preparation of structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports

- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues and provide technical guidance to the construction team

- Conduct structural inspections and write reports to assess the integrity and safety of existing structures

- Mentor and train junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support for their professional development

- Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure the integration of structural designs with overall project plans

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and integrate these into project designs and processes

- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

- Strong understanding of structural design principles and knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g. ACI, AISC, ASCE)

- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit

- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with a team

- Ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

- Experience in the design and construction of commercial, residential, and industrial structures is preferred
