Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our dynamic purchasing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives to ensure the procurement of goods and services in a cost-effective manner while maintaining high quality standards. The Senior Buyer will lead negotiations with suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of market trends. Additionally, the Senior Buyer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes and drive operational efficiency. A minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, supply base capabilities, and industry best practices to ensure competitive sourcing.
  • Lead the procurement process for assigned categories, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on sourcing options.
  • Analyze and manage supplier performance to drive continuous improvement and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and risk evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular reviews to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior buyers and support cross-functional teams on procurement-related activities.
  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies to maximize value and minimize risk across the supply chain.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a senior buyer role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent understanding of market trends and pricing analysis.
