Phlebotomist HCA

If you are an experienced phlebotomist looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you. As a phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and ensuring that the samples are handled and transported appropriately.

About the Candidate

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

Relevant qualification and clinical knowledge and skills in venepuncture;

Experience of working with the general public

Experience of working in a healthcare setting

Ability to record accurate clinical notes

Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Strong IT skills

Clear, polite telephone manner

Polite and confident

Flexible and cooperative

Motivated

Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required

High levels of integrity and loyalty

Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations

Ability to work under pressure / in stressful situations

Effectively able to communicate and understand the needs of the patient

Commitment to ongoing professional development

Flexibility to work outside of core office hours

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

Occupational Health Clearance

General Practice experience an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
