Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within a warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures that all logistics operations run smoothly and effectively, supporting supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Logistics Supervisor coordinates daily activities, manages staff, maintains accurate inventory records, and ensures compliance with safety and company policies. A strong leader with attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot operational challenges is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of logistics personnel, including warehouse workers and drivers.

• Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

• Oversee inventory control processes, including stock counts and reconciliations.

• Ensure all logistics activities comply with health and safety regulations and company standards.

• Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve service levels.

• Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to coordinate logistics operations.

• Prepare reports on inventory levels, transportation costs, and warehouse performance.

• Train and mentor team members to enhance productivity and maintain high performance.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged goods, order discrepancies, and delivery delays.

• Use logistics software and systems to track shipments and manage inventory.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse supervision.

• Strong knowledge of supply chain procedures and logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP).

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions quickly.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
