Lift Technician

The Lift Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. Working across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in the UAE, this role ensures that lifting equipment operates safely, reliably, and in accordance with local regulations and international standards. The technician also conducts routine inspections and responds to emergency breakdowns, playing a key role in ensuring public safety and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Installing elevators, escalators, and moving walkways according to manufacturer specifications and project plans.

• Performing regular preventive maintenance to ensure all lift systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and carrying out necessary repairs with minimal downtime.

• Conducting safety inspections and testing systems in compliance with UAE regulatory standards.

• Responding promptly to emergency service calls and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

• Maintaining accurate service records, checklists, and technical documentation for each unit.

• Coordinating with building management, contractors, and vendors for service schedules and upgrades.

• Adhering to all site safety rules and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in lift installation and maintenance, preferably within the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of lift systems, control panels, and safety protocols.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements from local authorities such as Dubai Municipality or Abu Dhabi Civil Defense.

• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical manuals.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Physical fitness and willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.

• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
