Import and Export Manager

We are looking for an experienced Import and Export Manager to oversee and manage all international shipping and trading activities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulations, streamline logistics operations, and maintain smooth import/export processes while optimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement import and export strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, international trade regulations, and company policies.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and clients to optimize shipping processes.
• Handle documentation, contracts, and permits related to imports and exports.
• Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and delivery schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Oversee inventory management, tracking shipments, and resolving logistics issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as procurement, sales, and finance to align business goals.
• Keep up-to-date with global trade policies, tariffs, and market trends to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies for international trade operations.
• Prepare and analyze import/export reports to identify improvement areas and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in import/export management, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and international shipping procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and vendors effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
