Job Description
The Electrical Designer is responsible for designing electrical systems for various construction projects. This includes creating electrical schematics, layouts, and calculations to ensure safe and efficient electricity distribution. The designer will also collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate electrical designs with other building systems. Proficiency in electrical design software and knowledge of electrical codes and standards are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for construction projects.
- Create electrical schematics, layouts, and calculations.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate electrical designs.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
- Conduct site visits to assess electrical requirements.
- Select and specify electrical materials and equipment.
- Review and approve electrical system installations.
- Prepare and present electrical design proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer.
- Proficiency in electrical design software.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
