Database Software Administration

We are looking for a detail-oriented Database Software Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure database systems across our UAE operations. The role ensures high availability, performance tuning, and data integrity of mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS).

• Monitor database performance and perform tuning for optimal efficiency.

• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Ensure data integrity, access control, and security compliance.

• Create and manage user roles, permissions, and access policies.

• Troubleshoot database issues and coordinate with development teams.

• Apply patches, upgrades, and maintain database documentation.

• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages.

• Support database integration with enterprise applications.

• Conduct regular audits and health checks of database environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in database administration.

• Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server environments.

• Strong understanding of DBMS architecture, indexing, and replication.

• Experience with backup tools and monitoring platforms.

• Knowledge of security protocols and data privacy regulations.

• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Shell are a plus.
