Job Description


A Cargo Sales Executive is responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling cargo services to clients, including freight forwarders, airlines, and logistics companies. The role involves developing relationships with customers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. A successful candidate should have strong sales skills, knowledge of the cargo industry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients to generate new business opportunities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, airlines, and logistics partners

  • Promote cargo services, negotiate rates, and close sales deals to meet revenue targets

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient cargo delivery

  • Assist customers with shipment tracking, documentation, and resolving any service issues

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to management

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to expand client base

  • Ensure compliance with cargo regulations, safety standards, and company policies

  • Continuously update knowledge on industry developments, air freight logistics, and cargo operations


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field

  • Proven experience in cargo sales, air freight, or logistics industry

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and cargo operations

  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software

  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
