Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize supply chain operations, ensuring seamless procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, monitoring stock levels, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience in supply chain management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • assist in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency

  • oversee procurement, inventory management, and logistics processes to ensure timely availability of materials

  • coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to maintain strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms

  • monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement

  • work closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business goals

  • ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies

  • manage demand planning and forecasting to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock

  • implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and service levels

  • support digital transformation efforts, including ERP systems and supply chain automation tools

  • stay updated with market trends, supplier capabilities, and new supply chain technologies


Requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field

  • minimum 4-6 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement roles

  • strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and procurement strategies

  • proficiency in supply chain management software 

  • excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills

  • ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines

  • strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  • experience in process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives

  • understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance standards

  • certification in supply chain management is a plus
