Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is integral to maintaining store standards, managing staff, and assisting in inventory and merchandising functions. Operating within the UAE's retail environment, the Assistant Store Manager must balance operational efficiency with strong leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, customer service, and sales performance.

• Supporting recruitment, training, and scheduling of store team members to ensure optimal staffing levels.

• Monitoring sales targets, KPIs, and store metrics, and providing regular reports and performance feedback.

• Ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained and aligned with brand guidelines.

• Handling customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally and promptly.

• Overseeing stock control, inventory checks, and coordination with the warehouse or supply chain team.

• Enforcing company policies and ensuring compliance with UAE retail regulations and health and safety standards.

• Acting as the store’s lead in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in a retail environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.

• Strong knowledge of retail operations, customer service principles, and inventory control.

• Familiarity with POS systems, retail software, and sales reporting tools.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team motivation skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced retail setting.

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Understanding of UAE retail laws and regulations.
