X-Ray Technician

The X-Ray Technician must follow proper protocols to obtain clear and accurate images for interpretation by radiologists or healthcare providers. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in order to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and maintain detailed patient records. A high school diploma or equivalent and certification in radiography are required for this position. Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality medical images for diagnostic purposes.
• Position patients correctly and ensure their safety and comfort during the imaging process.

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate image interpretation and diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks to ensure operational readiness.
• Educate patients about the imaging procedures and answer any questions they may have.
• Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with patient scheduling and coordination of imaging services as needed.
• Work effectively as part of a healthcare team to provide timely and accurate diagnostic imaging services.

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
• Certification in radiography or radiologic technology
• State licensure as a radiologic technologist
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and procedures
• Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
