Warehouse Associate

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. This role involves receiving, storing, and shipping goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that the warehouse environment is clean, safe, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Processing Shipments:

• Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.

• Record and report discrepancies and damages.

• Label and store goods in appropriate locations.

Inventory Management:

• Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.

• Update inventory management systems to reflect current stock levels.

• Organize and rearrange stock to optimize warehouse space.

Order Fulfillment:

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.

• Ensure orders are accurate and properly labeled.

• Load goods onto delivery trucks safely and efficiently.

Warehouse Maintenance:

• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of all warehouse activities.

• Generate reports on inventory levels, shipments, and receiving activities.

• Communicate with supervisors and other departments regarding inventory and order status.

Operating Equipment:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and another warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.

• Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
