Underwriting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented underwriting assistant to support the underwriting team in evaluating insurance applications, assessing risks, and ensuring accurate policy documentation.

Responsibilities:

• assist underwriters in reviewing and processing insurance applications

• analyze client financials, credit history, and risk factors

• prepare underwriting reports and summaries for decision-making

• ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines

• maintain accurate records of policies, claims, and endorsements

• communicate with clients, brokers, and agents to obtain required information

• support in policy issuance, renewals, and amendments

• collaborate with other departments to streamline underwriting processes

• assist in claims assessments and risk evaluations

• stay updated on industry regulations and underwriting trends

Requirements:

• bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or insurance-related field

• at least 1-2 years of experience in underwriting or insurance administration

• strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• proficiency in insurance software and MS Office applications

• excellent communication and attention to detail
