Tig Welder

As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for welding metal components using the tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding process. You will read and interpret blueprints, determine welding requirements, and set up welding equipment accordingly. The Tig Welder will then weld metal components together and inspect the quality of the welds to ensure they meet standards. They will also perform maintenance on welding equipment and keep a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Set up and prepare welding equipment, including selecting proper materials and gas flow rates.
• Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
• Align and secure metal components using fixtures or clamps.
• Weld metal components using TIG welding process.
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in TIG welding.
• Previous experience as a TIG welder.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
