Support And Maintenance Engineer

The Support and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of technical systems, infrastructure, or software products. This role involves diagnosing technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability. Operating within a service-oriented environment, the engineer will work closely with internal teams and clients while adhering to UAE compliance and cybersecurity regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support for hardware, software, or network systems, resolving user and system-related issues.

• Monitoring system performance and conducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and uptime.

• Diagnosing, documenting, and resolving technical faults or escalating complex issues to specialized teams.

• Installing system updates, security patches, and configuration changes as needed.

• Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to implement solutions and system enhancements.

• Maintaining detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and maintenance procedures.

• Ensuring compliance with organizational IT policies, security protocols, and UAE data protection standards.

• Participating in on-call rotations or after-hours support for critical incidents.

• Assisting in the development and testing of disaster recovery and backup solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience in IT support, system maintenance, or a similar technical role.

• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking fundamentals, and system administration.

• Experience with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and monitoring platforms.

• Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management standards is preferred.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and UAE-specific data privacy regulations.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an asset.
