Support And Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer specializing in heavy machineries to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of our heavy machinery fleet. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring workplace safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy machinery, including inspection, lubrication, and cleaning.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and breakdowns on equipment such as cranes, excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.

Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failure and ensure operational efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts inventory and service history.

Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.

Train and mentor junior technicians on maintenance best practices and safety protocols.

Recommend improvements in maintenance procedures to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in heavy machinery or industrial equipment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of safety regulations and maintenance practices.

Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Certification in maintenance or equipment operation (preferred).
