SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST

Main responsibilities for this position include:

• Track performance against agreed budgets to ensure that requirements are met
• Assist in investigation when exceptional events occur in the fulfilment operations
• Ensure that all relevant practices and compliance requirements are adhered to within the fulfilment operation
• Participate in supply chain and cross functional projects and undertake ad-hoc work as required to support the business
• Support the Supply Chain and wider Finance team in preparation of presentations, analysis, KPI tracking & explanations/comments
• Bid analysis -Analyzes and evaluates bids to determine the lowest total cost for Company
• Sourcing- Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets
• Annual Targets
• Excellence - Applies and implements SCM standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability
• Interdepartmental interface and communication- Manage, review, and execute Engineering Change Requests when necessary

Supply Chain Specialist Job Description

NORTECH is looking to fill the role of supply chain specialist. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.

Responsibilities for supply chain specialist

• Supervise delivery status of supplying parts & equipment’s and deliveries to Norseman’s operations in Countries as well as to the main facility in Dubai.

• Main interface for the Operations Department regarding logistics topics

• Monitor suppliers (if applicable) and supplying deadlines regarding confirmed delivery times and quantities

• In case of rumpus and technical changes receive customer requests and align with other internal functional areas

• Conducting empties administration in alignment with other departments or customers and warehouse service provider according to applicable working instructions

• Deliver consignment shipments according to instruction and track inventories in applicable warehouse administration system

• Key in logistics data into the applicable IT system

• In case of changes of the original logistics concept which could have a financial impact, create an overview calculation and involve business unit which then can inform the customer in a proper way

• Responsible for the coordination of payables as needed for the location (Markview processing to include requestor, coding and tax review)

• Scrap obsolete items after receiving credit and authorization from Finance

• Supervise and be responsible for all approved Purchases made by the Company.

Qualifications for supply chain specialist

• Two years of experience required with a High School diploma

• 5+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or Materials Management role

• Holding an Degree or Associate degree and two (2) years related experience in purchasing, or equivalent
