Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor of Insurance Audit to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of insurance auditors in conducting audits of insurance policies, claims, and financial records to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance auditing, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities include overseeing audit processes, reviewing audit findings, providing guidance and training to staff, and collaborating with other departments to improve audit procedures. The Supervisor of Insurance Audit will also be responsible for preparing audit reports, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in insurance auditing. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the insurance audit team to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and strategies to meet regulatory requirements and organization standards.
  • Review audit findings and reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and mentoring, to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve audit issues and implement recommended actions.
  • Communicate audit results to senior management and stakeholders, including recommendations for process improvements.
  • Monitor and track audit progress, deadlines, and outcomes to ensure compliance with established timelines and requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to insurance audits.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of audit work to maintain high standards of accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit processes, methodologies, and outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance auditing or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
