Job Description

A Staffing Specialist is responsible for managing the recruitment and placement of employees within an organization. This role involves identifying staffing needs, sourcing suitable candidates, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process. The staffing specialist works closely with hiring managers and the HR team to align talent acquisition strategies with business objectives. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of various recruitment platforms and techniques.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to determine current and future staffing needs

  • Draft and post job advertisements on appropriate platforms

  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, and recruitment databases

  • Screen resumes and applications to shortlist qualified candidates

  • Conduct initial interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate fit

  • Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with both candidates and hiring teams

  • Ensure timely follow-up and communication throughout the hiring process

  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and hiring progress

  • Assist with onboarding activities for new hires

  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics and outcomes


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field

  • Proven experience in recruitment or staffing, preferably in a corporate setting

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple recruitment tasks simultaneously

  • Knowledge of labor laws and hiring best practices

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing hiring needs and priorities

  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
