Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. This role requires working closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop personalized therapy plans that promote communication abilities and improve overall quality of life. The SLP plays a key role in both clinical and educational settings and must demonstrate compassion, patience, and professional expertise in speech and language development and rehabilitation.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.

  • Provide direct therapy to patients using evidence-based techniques and strategies.

  • Collaborate with physicians, audiologists, occupational therapists, and educators for integrated patient care.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and strategies to improve communication and swallowing.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, reports, and documentation.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Provide training and support to family members and caregivers to reinforce therapy objectives.

  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education and research.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to overall treatment planning.


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

  • Valid license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in Dubai.

  • Clinical experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of speech and language disorders.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to develop and implement customized therapy programs.

  • Experience working in hospitals, clinics, schools, or rehabilitation centers is an advantage.

  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to improving client outcomes.

  • Familiarity with therapy tools, diagnostic software, and assistive communication devices.
