Speech and Language Therapist

A Speech and Language Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in patients. They work with individuals of all ages who have difficulty with speech, language, and swallowing. The therapist designs and implements personalized treatment plans to help patients improve their communication skills and overcome barriers to effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' needs
• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing function
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Candidate Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Valid state licensure as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Experience working with individuals with communication disorders
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
