Job Description
The SOAR Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) system. They will design, develop, and deploy tools to automate security processes and enhance incident response capabilities. The SOAR Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system needs and implement effective solutions. They must stay updated on the latest security threats and industry best practices to ensure the SOAR system remains robust and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the SOAR platform, including configuring workflows and playbooks.
- Develop and deploy automation scripts to improve incident response times.
- Collaborate with security analysts and SOC teams to understand requirements and enhance the SOAR system.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the performance of the SOAR platform and its integrations.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies to provide proactive recommendations.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on the SOAR system.
- Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of the SOAR platform.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience in security orchestration and automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
