Senior Technical Process Safety Engineer - Fire Protection(Oil and Gas)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Process Safety Engineer specializing in Fire Protection within the Oil and Gas industry. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of fire protection systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fire protection strategies and programs for oil and gas facilities in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct process safety reviews and hazard assessments to identify fire risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Evaluate and recommend fire protection systems and equipment, including fire detection, suppression, and emergency response systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fire protection considerations into engineering designs and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance on fire protection requirements during project development and execution phases.
• Conduct fire protection audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and best practices.
• Participate in incident investigations related to fire incidents and provide technical expertise to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Develop and deliver training programs on fire safety and emergency response procedures to enhance awareness and preparedness among personnel.
• Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to fire protection in the oil and gas sector.
• Support emergency response drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of fire protection systems and response protocols.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection Engineering preferred)
• Professional certification in Process Safety (e.g. Certified Process Safety Professional)
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in fire protection engineering within the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g. NFPA, API, ASME)
• Experience in leading and executing fire protection risk assessments and hazard analyses
