Job Description

As a Senior Specialist in Succession Planning & Mobility, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the strategic development and implementation of succession planning and talent mobility programs within the organization. You will work closely with senior leadership to identify high-potential employees, create tailored development plans, and ensure a smooth transition for key roles in the event of promotions, retirements, or transfers. Your role will involve conducting talent assessments, analyzing workforce trends, and collaborating with HR partners to design and execute effective talent management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management, organizational development, and change management, with exceptional communication and leadership skills to drive successful succession planning initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement succession planning strategies to identify and develop high-potential employees within the organization.
  • Design and manage talent review processes to evaluate current and future leadership needs.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to create individual development plans for key talent.
  • Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives within the succession planning process to ensure a diverse pipeline of future leaders.
  • Identify critical roles within the organization and assess current bench strength to fill those roles.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify skills and competencies needed for future leadership positions.
  • Lead talent mobility programs to ensure the right talent is in the right roles at the right time.
  • Collaborate with learning and development teams to provide developmental opportunities for high-potential employees.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of succession planning and mobility initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in succession planning and mobility to recommend improvements to existing programs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Succession Planning, Talent Management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and practices
  • Experience in developing and implementing succession planning strategies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
