Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in the design, sizing, and selection of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and engines.
• Develop maintenance strategies and programs for rotating equipment to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for rotating equipment failures or performance issues.
• Conduct equipment condition assessments and remaining life evaluations to support maintenance planning and budgeting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and reliability, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review and approve technical specifications, designs, and vendor proposals for rotating equipment procurement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in the rotating equipment discipline.
• Monitor industry trends and developments in rotating equipment technology to recommend and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for rotating equipment operations and maintenance.
• Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to rotating equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working with rotating equipment in the oil and gas industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment design, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices.
• Proven experience in project management and leading a team of engineers.
