Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the costs and budget of construction projects. They will prepare and review cost estimates, evaluate subcontractor bids, and monitor project expenses. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also provide advice on contractual matters and assist in the resolution of disputes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts.
• Monitor project expenses and ensure that costs are kept within budget.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including cost forecasts and variances.
• Provide advice on contractual matters, including claims and change orders.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering studies to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in the resolution of disputes and claims related to costs and contracts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quantity surveying.
