Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Manager of Taxation and Risk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, optimization of tax strategies, and managing risk within our organization. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing and reviewing tax filings, analyzing financial data to identify tax savings opportunities, conducting risk assessments, and developing strategies to mitigate risks related to tax and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A minimum of 8 years of experience in tax management and risk assessment is required for this role. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is also necessary, with a CPA or other relevant certification preferred. The Sr. Manager of Taxation and Risk will play a crucial role in driving financial success and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely responses and resolution.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide tax input on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of tax-related matters.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on tax matters and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in tax processes and systems.
