The senior manager - account development is responsible for driving business growth by managing key client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and developing strategic account plans. This role involves leading account development initiatives, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, account management, and business development, with the ability to drive revenue growth and maintain long-term client partnerships. They must be able to analyze market trends, collaborate with internal teams, and implement innovative strategies to enhance client engagement.
Responsibilities:
develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and customer retention
identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing and potential accounts
build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service agreements to achieve company objectives
analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to enhance business strategies
collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop customized solutions for clients
track and measure account performance, providing regular reports and forecasts to leadership
oversee account development initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and targets
provide mentorship and guidance to junior account managers to improve overall team performance
resolve client concerns and challenges effectively to ensure long-term partnerships
Requirements:
bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field; MBA preferred
minimum 7-10 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales leadership
proven track record of managing key accounts and driving revenue growth
strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
ability to analyze data and market trends to develop effective account strategies
experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools
leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide a team
excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
