Senior Landscape Architect

The Senior Landscape Architect is responsible for leading the design and execution of large-scale landscape architecture projects, from concept development to construction supervision. This role involves integrating sustainable design principles, environmental considerations, and client requirements to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces. Operating within the UAE’s urban development environment, the architect collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create aesthetically pleasing, functional, and climate-resilient landscapes.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the conceptual and detailed design of landscape projects including parks, public spaces, and urban developments.

• Preparing master plans, layout drawings, planting schemes, and construction documentation.

• Collaborating with architects, urban planners, engineers, and environmental consultants to ensure cohesive project integration.

• Managing design presentations, client meetings, and stakeholder coordination throughout all project stages.

• Conducting site analyses and incorporating local climate, soil, and ecological conditions into the design.

• Ensuring all designs adhere to UAE environmental, zoning, and sustainability regulations.

• Supervising and reviewing the work of junior landscape architects and consultants to maintain design quality.

• Overseeing site works and ensuring design intent is maintained during construction phases.

• Managing project timelines, deliverables, and budgets effectively.

• Staying current with landscape trends, sustainable materials, and innovative techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.

• 8–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with proven experience in the UAE or GCC.

• Strong portfolio showcasing experience in large-scale public realm or mixed-use developments.

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Lumion, and Revit; GIS knowledge is a plus.

• Deep understanding of UAE environmental regulations, climate-responsive design, and local plant species.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multi-phase projects from inception to completion.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and liaise with clients and authorities.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
