Job Description

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of outdoor spaces, parks, residential areas, and commercial properties. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to create innovative and sustainable landscape designs that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Your role will involve managing project teams, overseeing the implementation of designs, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. In addition, you will conduct site analysis, produce design drawings and specifications, and provide guidance on plant selection and installation techniques. The ideal candidate will have a degree in landscape architecture, extensive experience in the field, strong project management skills, and a creative approach to design.


Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the design development process of landscape architecture projects from concept through construction.
  • Providing expertise in site analysis, planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive design proposals.
  • Conducting site visits, assessments, and analyses to gather information for project planning and design.
  • Developing and presenting design concepts, visualization materials, and presentations to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior staff members and collaborating with other team members to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations, codes, and ordinances related to landscape architecture projects.
  • Participating in business development activities, such as proposal writing, client presentations, and networking, to secure new projects and maintain client relationships.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in landscape architecture.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in landscape design and project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of plant materials, sustainable design principles, and construction methods.
  • Professional licensure or ability to obtain licensure as a Landscape Architect.
