Senior Financial Auditor

The Senior Financial Auditor will oversee audits of financial records, internal controls, and compliance procedures to ensure alignment with local UAE financial regulations and international accounting standards. This role involves planning audit engagements, identifying risks, and delivering actionable insights to improve financial transparency and efficiency. The ideal candidate will work across departments and with external stakeholders to provide assurance and strategic financial oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Leading end-to-end internal and external financial audits in accordance with UAE regulatory requirements and international standards (IFRS, ISA).

• Reviewing financial statements, accounting entries, and supporting documentation to assess accuracy and compliance.

• Identifying risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for process improvement in financial operations.

• Preparing detailed audit reports with findings and practical recommendations.

• Collaborating with finance teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

• Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

• Ensuring timely completion of audit engagements and reporting to senior management.

• Staying up to date with changes in local tax laws, financial regulations, and global audit standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in financial auditing, preferably in a Big 4 firm or a regulated UAE environment.

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and risk assessment practices.

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Effective communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously and meet deadlines.
