Senior Estimator

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading construction or contracting firm in the UAE. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders and projects, contributing to competitive pricing strategies and project feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.

• Review and assess RFQs and tender documents for completeness and accuracy.

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and pricing.

• Evaluate and compare bids to ensure competitive and compliant proposals.

• Prepare BOQs and cost breakdowns for management review.

• Support the procurement team with cost inputs and value engineering.

• Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as required.

• Identify risks and opportunities related to pricing and estimation.

• Monitor market trends and cost changes in materials and labor.

• Collaborate with project teams for handover post-contract award.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in estimation within construction or infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of cost estimation software and MS Excel.

• Familiarity with UAE construction industry standards and pricing norms.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
