Job Description

The Senior Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit management process within the organization. They will develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure timely payment from customers. The Senior Credit Manager will also manage a team of credit analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve credit-related issues.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure timely payment from customers.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
  • Set credit limits and terms for customers based on risk assessment.
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit terms and minimize delinquency.
  • Review and approve credit applications, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit-related issues and address customer concerns.
  • Manage a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support in credit evaluation and collections.
  • Analyze data and provide reports on credit management performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry credit trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and credit agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit management, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit evaluation techniques and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and accounting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
