Senior Contracts Engineer

As a Senior Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the contract process, from preparation and negotiation to execution and administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction contracts and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze contracts to identify potential risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation

- Conduct negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions

- Prepare and maintain contract documents, including change orders, amendments, and other contract modifications

- Provide guidance and support to project managers and other team members on contractual matters

- Monitor and track project progress to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions

- Participate in meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors as needed

- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors

- Update and maintain contract management systems and databases

- Conduct contract performance evaluations and provide recommendations for improvements

- Keep up-to-date with industry changes and trends, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the construction industry

- Excellent understanding of contract law and solid knowledge of construction contracts

- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to quickly resolve conflicts and complex issues

- Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Project management experience is a plus
