Senior Buyer

Our company is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, negotiation skills, and a proven track record of successfully sourcing and procuring goods and services.

Duties:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives

- Identify potential suppliers and develop relationships to ensure optimal pricing and quality

- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing fluctuations

- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate company needs and ensure timely procurement of goods and services

- Analyze and report on key procurement metrics such as cost savings and supplier performance

- Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and resolve any supply chain issues that may arise

- Stay abreast of regulatory and compliance requirements to ensure all procurement processes are in compliance with laws and policies

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role

- Proven track record of successful negotiations and cost savings initiatives

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed procurement decisions

- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement
