Senior Architectural Designer

The Senior Architectural Designer is responsible for leading the creative and technical aspects of architectural projects from concept through completion. This role involves developing innovative design concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring that architectural integrity, functionality, and aesthetics are maintained across all phases of the project. Working closely with clients, consultants, and project teams, the Senior Architectural Designer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, sustainable, and visually compelling built environments.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development process for large-scale and high-profile architectural projects.

• Create and present conceptual designs, 3D models, and architectural renderings.

• Collaborate with project architects, engineers, and consultants to refine designs and ensure feasibility.

• Oversee production of architectural drawings and documentation for planning, construction, and permitting.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and local regulations.

• Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and design reviews.

• Mentor junior designers and contribute to professional development within the design team.

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand their vision and translate it into effective designs.

• Stay current with architectural trends, materials, and sustainable design practices.

• Assist in preparing proposals, design presentations, and bid documents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

• 8+ years of professional architectural design experience, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software.

• Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods.

• Excellent design, visualization, and presentation skills.

• Solid knowledge of codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

• Professional licensure or working towards licensure is preferred.
