Senior Architect

The Senior Architect is responsible for leading the design and development of architectural projects from concept through execution, ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and aesthetic excellence. Working in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment in the UAE, this role involves overseeing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering innovative solutions for commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments. The position requires a deep understanding of local building codes and sustainable design practices.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the conceptualization and design of complex architectural projects in alignment with client objectives and project briefs.

• Preparing and reviewing architectural drawings, presentations, and detailed construction documents.

• Supervising junior architects and technical staff, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines.

• Coordinating with engineers, consultants, contractors, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

• Managing planning approvals, building permit applications, and documentation submissions in line with UAE regulations.

• Conducting site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.

• Incorporating sustainable, innovative, and functional design principles into project development.

• Maintaining effective communication with clients, presenting design ideas, and providing regular project updates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

• Proven experience managing large-scale projects in the UAE or GCC region.

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Strong understanding of local building codes, authority approval processes, and sustainability standards (e.g., Estidama, LEED).

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and client communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
