Senior Analyst - Cyber Security

The Senior Analyst - Cyber Security plays a crucial role in safeguarding an organization's sensitive information and systems against cyber threats. Responsibilities include conducting vulnerability assessments, analyzing and responding to security incidents, developing and implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Senior Analyst will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks, as well as stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISA, is typically required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery from cyber security incidents.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and strengthen the organization’s security posture.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents from various security tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging cyber security threats and trends to proactively address potential risks.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on security projects and initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend security products and technologies to enhance the organization’s security capabilities.
• Train and mentor junior security analysts to enhance their knowledge and skills in cyber security.
• Prepare and present regular security reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols.
