Job Description

As a Risk Manager - IT, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with information technology systems and processes within an organization. You will work closely with IT teams to develop and implement risk management strategies to protect against data breaches, cyber attacks, and other IT-related threats. Your role will involve conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans, and monitoring compliance with risk management policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest IT security trends and best practices to ensure the organization's IT systems remain secure and resilient. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of IT risk management principles. A Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field is typically required for this role, along with relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for success as a Risk Manager - IT.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT risk management strategies and policies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses in IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address security gaps and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor security incidents and respond to security breaches in a timely and effective manner.
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to IT risk management.
  • Create risk reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of IT systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to IT staff on best practices for risk management and security.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulators to ensure compliance with IT risk management standards.
  • Continuously improve risk management processes and methodologies to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, processes, and methodologies in the IT domain.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity, or related roles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
