Job Description

As a Retail Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs for retail staff to enhance their skills and performance. Your role will involve creating engaging training materials, implementing on-the-job training sessions, and assessing the effectiveness of training programs. You will work closely with retail managers to identify training needs, monitor progress, and provide feedback to help employees achieve their goals. Additionally, you will stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to ensure that training programs are relevant and impactful. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail operations, proven experience in delivering training programs, and excellent communication and coaching skills. Responsibilities

  • Developing training programs and materials tailored to the needs of retail employees.
  • Conducting training sessions for new hires, including orientation and on-the-job training.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback.
  • Updating and enhancing training content to reflect changing industry trends and requirements.
  • Coordinating with retail managers to identify training needs and priorities.
  • Providing coaching and support to retail staff to improve performance and enhance customer service skills.
  • Monitoring trainee progress and performance through regular assessments and evaluations.
  • Implementing training strategies to improve sales techniques and promote upselling.
  • Collaborating with HR to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all training activities.
  • Keeping abreast of industry best practices and innovations in retail training to continuously improve program effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Education, or Retail Management.
  • Previous experience working in retail, preferably in a training or leadership role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of retail training best practices and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using technology for training purposes.
