Job Description

The Retail Banking Officer – Loan is responsible for promoting and processing personal loan products while ensuring compliance with internal banking policies and UAE Central Bank regulations. This role involves interacting with individual clients, assessing financial needs, guiding them through the loan application process, and maintaining a high level of customer service. The officer plays a key role in achieving loan sales targets, minimizing risk exposure, and ensuring a smooth customer experience throughout the loan lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Promoting personal loan products to existing and potential retail banking customers.

  • Conducting detailed financial assessments to determine loan eligibility and repayment capacity.

  • Guiding clients through the end-to-end loan application process, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Coordinating with credit and risk departments to facilitate approvals in line with lending policies.

  • Maintaining regular follow-ups with customers and ensuring timely disbursement of approved loans.

  • Ensuring compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations and internal control procedures.

  • Maintaining updated knowledge of loan products, promotions, and market competition.

  • Achieving individual and branch loan sales targets through proactive outreach and relationship management.

  • Preparing periodic reports on loan applications, conversion rates, and customer feedback.

  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving concerns in a professional and timely manner.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in retail banking with a focus on personal loan sales, preferably in the UAE.

  • Strong understanding of credit evaluation processes and regulatory requirements in the UAE banking sector.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding loan sales targets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with customers.

  • Proficiency in banking CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a results-driven environment.
