Job Description

A Resident Engineer is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects. They work on-site to ensure that construction activities are carried out according to specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Resident Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of projects.


Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to construction schedules.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Conducting regular inspections to assess construction quality and identify potential issues.
  • Managing contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Resolving technical issues and providing technical guidance to the construction team.
  • Maintaining accurate records of project activities and progress.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management and site supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
