Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team and oversee water infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on water systems and infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulations, coordinating with stakeholders and subcontractors, and overseeing construction activities onsite. The Resident Engineer will also be responsible for quality control, cost management, and providing technical guidance to project teams. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. A degree in civil engineering or a related field, along with relevant experience in water infrastructure projects, is required for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of water infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Evaluate project requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop cost estimates and schedules.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project deliverables meet all expectations and requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage project documentation, including reports, drawings, and change orders, and maintain accurate project records.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any risks or obstacles that may impact project outcomes, and develop mitigation strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and other project consultants to address design modifications and technical challenges in a timely manner.
  • Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations to communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project closeout activities are completed in accordance with project requirements, including final inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to oversee construction projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant design software and regulations in the water infrastructure industry.
