Job Description
A Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and support in medical settings. They are responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating patient care plans. RNs ensure patient safety and comfort, update medical records, and collaborate with healthcare teams. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and develop nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patients for any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret the results.
- Maintain accurate and updated medical records.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and nursing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Valid nursing license issued by the state regulatory body.
- Good understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work well in a team.
