Quantity Surveyor (Steel Structure)

The Quantity Surveyor (Steel Structure) is responsible for estimating, costing, and managing the financial aspects of steel structure projects. They will prepare and review project budgets, conduct quantity takeoffs, and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Additionally, they will monitor project costs and variations and provide cost control recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review project cost estimates and budgets.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs for steel structure projects.
• Research and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs and variations.
• Prepare payment certificates and monitor progress payments.
• Assess and validate contractor claims and variations.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking.
• Prepare final project accounts and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a quantity surveyor, with a focus on steel structure projects.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying practices and methods.
• Proficiency in cost estimation and project budgeting software.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
