Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist - Agile Transformation

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist – Agile Transformation is responsible for ensuring that software development processes align with agile best practices while maintaining high-quality standards across the project lifecycle. This role plays a key part in driving quality in agile delivery teams by embedding QA methodologies early in development, facilitating test automation, and conducting ongoing quality assessments. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, the QA Specialist partners with cross-functional teams to support the continuous delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions in line with UAE compliance and digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with agile teams to define and implement quality standards and best practices throughout the development cycle.

• Designing and executing comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

• Developing automated test scripts using industry-standard tools to support CI/CD pipelines.

• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects while working closely with developers to ensure resolution.

• Participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support agile delivery.

• Monitoring QA metrics to assess the health of products and processes, and providing data-driven insights.

• Ensuring adherence to regulatory and security standards relevant to the UAE's digital systems.

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of QA practices across agile squads.

• Providing guidance and support to other QA members and developers on quality engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in QA roles, with at least 2 years working in an agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestNG), and test automation frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with agile transformation processes and agile QA integration strategies.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Experience in testing APIs and web/mobile applications.

• Understanding of data protection laws and software quality standards in the UAE.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
