Publications Specialist

The Publications Specialist is responsible for coordinating, designing, and producing various publications, such as newsletters, brochures, and reports. They will work closely with the content team to gather and organize information, design layouts, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality publications. The Publications Specialist should have a keen eye for design, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with content creators, subject matter experts, and designers to gather content and materials for publications.
• Design and layout publications, ensuring visual consistency, readability, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to publication standards.
• Manage the production process, including coordinating with printers, proofreaders, and other external vendors.
• Ensure the timely delivery of publications by setting and meeting deadlines.
• Develop and maintain a database of publications and associated files for future reference.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in publication design.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and make improvements to publications.
• Use design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, to create visually appealing and engaging publications.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality control throughout the publication process.

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Publications Specialist or similar role, with a portfolio of successfully designed publications.
• Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
